1964 Thompson Lancer Express, 18'
This project took my son and I about 3 years to complete. We started out by completely stripping the boat, repaired
a small soft area below waterline- where plywood was starting to delaminate, rebuilt appoximately half the cabin, and then
selected new paint scheme. Repowered boat with late 70's Johnson 115 hp outboard, a little overpowered. Newer trailer-
load rite bunk trailer with surge brakes. We first showed the boat at Lake Geneva antique boat show in 2005. Our last show was this past September 2013 at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We had a great weekend, weather
was great; slept 3 people on board that night. Have had a great time owning this boat, and have now passed it along
to a wonderful couple who we know will enjoy her as much as we have.
